While the purpose of the Felonious Assault blog is to provide an in depth inside look at what has happened to our family as well as provide readers with useful on topic information, these events have not come without a cost. If you have read through all of our sections you already know that we were having financial issues before any of this began, and other than the usual day to day expenses (rent, food, bills, medication), we have to now somehow try to pay for travelling to and from a Durham region court (without a vehicle), as well as two separate attorney’s fees (one for the criminal trial and one that specializes in wrongful arrests and malicious prosecution) without the benefit of a full time job…for a crime that never took place.

Another non monetary way that you can help is by including a link to our blog on your blog, or even on another website. This will help spread the word about our in progress story and let people know that false arrests and injustice is occuring on a daily basis and tearing apart families.

Felonious Assault has only been online for 3 weeks and I have already started receiving private comments as well as direct e-mails about similar stories. One of them dates back to 2003 and is so similar to our own that I would have thought something was learned since then. The case created such a buzz at the time that it was elevated to Ernie Eves, the Premier Of Ontario at the time, as well as Chief Justice Roy McMurtry at Osgoode Hall.

In the future (and if legally possible) I will create a “Similar Stories” section so that others can post to it. This blog platform has so many possibilties that I may even be able to start the section early and allow people to post in a private section that will only be available to registered members, so check back often for an update.
