Been there to. I was innocent, but had to go thru the loops. It really was horrible. It smelled like old socks in there, and the food was worse. Godspeed

Great way of explaining things i recently was released from CECC from a one week stay its a horrible place and wish for no one to go thru what i went thru in thoes days that went by in that place

I have been through somewhat of a circumstance with Durham Police, I feel very violated in my situation, given that i am ill in the way that i have anxiety and depression, and have been through this system, which is completely corrupt. if you would like some input as to what i did to rectify my situation, and more information on what happened with me, feel free to email me, we all need support, and don’t want our children growing up in a society where justice does not do right by any of us. What happened to you and your daughter was unlawful and terrible, and something can be done about it so please contact sue_rose@hotmail.com.

my daughter was arreasted on jan 16 by durham regional police.she was in a an arguement at the mall and security sent them their seperate ways,it was a verbal arguement,this situation has alot of history between my daughter and this girl,the girl asked security to call the police security didnt know why,but they called because she was insisting.the police arrived and took my14 yr old daughter into the security office at this point he began interogating her,the security gaurds from the mall called me at home and siad the police were holding my daughter could i come and get her,i was told she was not under arrest,i spoke to her briefly and told them i would be right over.by the time i got to the mall maybe 20 mins.-1/2 hr later,i had to walk i am epileptic,my daughter was hysterically crying,she was shaking,i came in and saw her like this and said what is going on?he yelled at me your daughter is under arrest thats what is going on,i said what are you arresting her for and he yelled at my daughter stand up and tell your mother what you did.she started to tell me her story and near the end the officer interupted her and said and then you threatened her,i said to the officer,and at this point i raised my voice,i told him to let her finish i wanted to hear her side not his my daughter became increasingly upset as he yelled at me and her a variety of insults and acusations and my daughter then began to gag and 1 of the security officers ,there was 4 watching this all happen,got my daughter a recycle bin as quick as she could and ran over to my daughter who then vomitted into the recycle bin.while my daughter was vomitting i have witnesses who were outside the security office with the doors closed thta could hear the officer yelling. at this point the officer began stepping towards me very much in space and i then told him that i was epileptic with anxiety realed disorder and he needed to step away from me and stop yelling,he said he did not need to get out of my space,i explained to him again that he needed to stop and why he threw his hands up and yelled thats it im arresting her,to this day i still do not know what he is saying she did that day,i have to wait for court to find out.he picked my 14 yr old daughter up and handcuffed her,i began to have an anxiety attack my daughter leaned towards me asked if i was ok and the officer leaned her in the other direction and led her away by the arm i did not trust this officer judgement anymore at all i asked him to take his hands off of her,i said she is not fighting why dod you have to hold her,he told me he had no choice that once he put handcuffs on her it was the rules he had to hold her,i found out later that this is not true but at the time he was abusing his power and i did not this was not true,but he did.i had an anxiety attack in the security office.Later when i was able to talk to my daughter more i found out why she was so upset when i got there ,this officer(p.c o’dei) had been interogating the whole time that they were supposed to be waiting for me to get there,he knew i was on my way.he told my daughter that he was going to put her in jail for a day and a 1/2 at laest 3 times,he was yelling at her”what are u menatlly ill do you not understand when im talking to you”,jhe said this to her twice,all in a n effort to get my daughter to admit she threatened this girl,my daughter kept saying she didnt threaten her and pc o’dei kept yelling that if she didnt admit it she was going to jail for a day and 1/2 and so on until i arrived to find my daughter hysteriacal.under the young offenders act he had no right to question my daughter without permission or a parent present,he knew i was on my way and instead of waiting for me he vioolated my daughters rights because he wanted to attack her with no parent present under the young offenders act he should have informed my daughter that she had the right to not speak until a parent or gaurdian arrived,under the young offenders act when a child is deatined by police they must inform them of thier rights,he did not inform her or abide by any of theses laws he did not even wait for me to get there before interogating her,if he had have i can say for certain he would not have been getting away with calling my daughter nentally ill,or threating her with non existing jailtime.when i arrived this officer should have intorduced himself and told me what was going on,as it was i had to get his name from the srgnt at 19 didvision because when i asked him for a card he ignored me and as i have said i still dont know what it is he says my daughter allegedly said that day.i came home from this attack and had a 12 hr migraine and an absence seizure 2 days later triggered by the anxiety attack he sparked on that night,even though he was warned more than once to get out of my space,his response was ‘NO I DO NOT NEED TO GET OUT OF YOUR SPACE” this officer has no respect for the epileptic community or the mentally ill since he can use this in a negative way to try and bully my 14 yr old daughter into saying something she did not do,he obviously has no respect for the young offenders act as he violate all of the most important laws of the young offenders act,his response to this “sort it out in court”.i filed a complaint at 19 division and i am now waiting on the outcome,it should be this week some time.
